Toasted Bagelry & Deli | Our Story

Two brothers, one recipe, hand-rolled daily
Toasted Bagelry & Deli is the work of two Egyptian brothers, Islam and Khaled Mohammed, who brought the craft they built in New York and New Jersey straight to Miami's front door. Every bagel you eat here is the result of that journey.
Years in New York and New Jersey bakeries
Islam and Khaled moved to the United States in 2001 and spent years inside real bakeries in New York and New Jersey — learning the process from the inside out. That hands-on time gave them the skills, the standards, and the hunger to eventually do it themselves.
Opening day in Brickell
In 2013, the brothers opened their first shop in Brickell — a cozy, exposed-brick space that felt nothing like the sleek towers rising around it. Eater Miami spotted it as a coming attraction, and the neighborhood quickly made it a morning ritual.

Doing it the old way
The recipe hasn't changed: kosher malt, flour, conditioner, and filtered water — the same approach that defines a proper bagel. Nothing is rushed, nothing is cut, and it shows in every bite.

More than the bagel basket
The menu stretches from warm bagels and flavored cream cheese spreads to omelets, grilled sandwiches, paninis, soups, and salads — all made fresh from breakfast through lunch. There's always something worth coming back for.

From Brickell across Miami
What started as one corner spot in Brickell has grown into three Miami neighborhoods — Brickell, Midtown, and Coral Gables — each carrying the same recipe, the same family hospitality, and the same fresh-out-of-the-oven energy every morning.
